I've just been thinking a lot today about how much what we say affects other people.....

To make a long story short, I've been pretty hurt by someone and because of how he hurt me, I did all of the same things back to him.....I am realizing that even over a year later, all the words all the actions---

They are still having an affect.


So what if we focused in on positive words? On EDIFYING people and bringing them up? If we looked at people and we spoke life over them so that over a year later, the words would still have an affect.


The Bible speaks on our words holding the power of life and death and this has been a concept I really and truly have always loved thinking about, because God has brought me a long way in that I used to say horrible things to people and completely speak negatively over them.....things that hurt people forever and while maybe they don't think of it directly anymore, they still were changed because I said something bad to them and the Lord has helped change my heart towards His people and now I am on the receiving line of hearing that words I've spoken have POSITIVELY affected people and how much sweeter it is to hear that than how much I've hurt someone.
