The one thing that sticks out most to me about these last 4 1/2 months?! Wow.
1. Disappointment with God is a whole lot different then disappointment without Him. Several times in the past several months I could have dealt with disappointment in a lot of ways, and occasionally I did relapse and not deal with it in the best ways, but overall I have seen spiritual growth in myself my realizing that He's always good and He always sees and always works and always knows and always come through....And because of that, when friendships weren't what I thought, and class situations weren't what I expected, and work wasn't what it was supposed to be at first, I could see God in a new light, because I believed He would come through.
2. Do not under appreciate the people God sends to you. Period. End of story.
3. Sharpen your gifts. When we get a gift, we use it right? We put it together if it needs to be put together, we use it, we take care of it, we store it in a safe place. God has given us gifts. So therefore we should treat them the same way and also sharpen them....That's one of the best pieces of advice I got from a friend this semester.
4. Writing, writing, writing, writing. Never ever ever stop.
5. There's a reason the church is set up a certain way and probably the best thing that happened to me this Fall is finding a church family who has been so dear to my heart....God is good!
6. Listen to what people have to say. Sometimes you won't want to hear it. Most times you need to.
I am amazed by the people sent to me, the places I've been, and the conversations I've had.
The best is yet to come.
