I'm speaking for myself just as much as others, but I mean seriously.
How can you doubt when you've seen people healed?
How can you doubt when you've heard stories of deliverance?
How can you doubt when you ALWAYS are provided for?
We doubt because sometimes people don't get healed. And we doubt because sometimes people struggle with things for a long time and don't seem to be freed from it. And we doubt because sometimes life is really, really, really hard and we don't understand and so we question.
In Scripture, as a physical sign for a tragedy or sorrow, people would "tear their cloak." This symbolized that their grief, sorrow, or trial was "beyond repair." Utter tragedy. Yet, Moses tells Aaron that if he does this, he will surely die. Why is this? Because this also showed God that your circumstance was bigger than He was. That in some way, your pain was unfixable and to God, that was offensive. In Leviticus 20 we see that the High Priest should not do this, because they have access to the throne and the Lord's anointing. We are called a royal priesthood in the NT because we are children of God.
Now, let me ask you this...Has there been a time in your life where you have done this?
Where you have told God your situation is beyond repair? That is offensive to the Lord because HE IS BIGGER.
So you've prayed for months and still don't have your answer.
He's bigger.
You don't have the slightest clue how you're going to make your house payment next month.
He's bigger.
You have a life changing illness.
He's bigger.
You've lost the person closet to you.
He's bigger.
Job lost 10 children. Everything, literally, that he held dear was taken from him in an instant. If that situation is fixable, what in our lives isn't?
It doesn't mean it's going to be easy, God knows it's anything but, but don't you for a second throw up your hands and tell God it's beyond repair....
HE IS BIGGER.
