God is seriously doing incredible things in Los Angeles, despite recent government rulings that are one step closer to allowing gay marriage to be acceptable in the state of California.
Here's two things that honestly carried me through many of my outreaches out there:
1. Mercy triumphs judgement. The Word says this, although it refers to the whole idea of punishment for sin, but at the same time, I look at it like this: Us being mercy, triumphs all the judgement ever spoken over these people. So while their whole lives may have been full of being told they are failures, etc. life triumphs death, mercy triumphs judgement.
2. It's impossible for darkness to remain the same when it has come into contact with the light. And that's the thing. Maybe they don't know it's Jesus. Maybe they don't know what about us may be 'different'. The point is, they know. They realize that something is different.
I never imagined that God would allow me to minister to the gay community of Hollywood. I never imagined that God would allow me to minister to some very violent and serious men on Skid Row. People who normally would 'intimidate me' aren't. Because God's moving.
He's doing crazy things on the corner of Santa Monica and San Vincent in West Hollywood. He's doing crazy things in Skid Row.
Because He's big.
I consider it the biggest honor in the world that the Dream Center isn't over for me yet, that the details of worked out for me to go back.
I count it nothing but joy to be able to hug on these people that God crazy loves.
Because the gay community, the poor, the homeless, the addicted, the confused, the bound...all of them are precious precious precious in the eyes of Jesus. He knows them by name.
And they might be confused, they might be bound, but God breaks chains.
I am HONORED. EXCITED. AND READY TO GET PHASE 2 GOING!!!!
