So, I'm totally enjoying this Easter break probably more than any of my other breaks from schools of far. Some things about my living situation are a bit tough to deal with and I especially wanted to "get away" this weekend. I have always apperciated Easter weekend almost more than any other time of year because I feel completely relaxed, amazingly blessed, I get to buy a new dress (and shoes too!), see my brothers (I miss them so much when we're apart), eat amazing food, get my favorite candy (well, chocolate, WHITE chocolate. Which is ridicuously hard to find...), and then the service on Easter Sunday always inspires me and touches my heart so deeply. I just love it. Well this particular weekend, I decided I'd take a little break from all my school reading and actually do some reading of my own. I have 6 novels I've been trying to read since August and it just wasn't happening. Also, for Christmas I got Walt Whitman's entire poetry collection and have hard very little time to actually read and study it.
I'm currently in the middle of Blue Like Jazz...I finished The Princess by Lori Wick and a good bit of Walt Whitman's poetry (He's my favorite poet!) and a little devotional called Come As You Are that a dear friend's mom gave to me for graduation.
It was so nice to finally be able to read some of these books and stuff I've had sitting around.....now I still have to get to those novels...
