I got nearly 12 hours of sleep last night.
That might not seem like anything important, but here's the thing:
I do not sleep well at college.
I never have since I've been here.
It's not exactly the fact that I stay up all hours of the night or something like that, because at this point I'm on a pretty consistent go-to-bed-around-11:45-12-regardless-of-the-time-I-have-to-get-up-the-next-morning routine.
I'm a light sleeper, which maybe is a good thing (some would say it's already the mother in me), but it sure is quite a problem when you know, you have to share a room with someone and all. If there's any bit of light, I wake up. Any bit of movement, I wake up. Any slight sound....I wake up. This gets rather frustrating and inconvenient.
One of the things I look forward to when I go home is the fact that guaranteed I will sleep well every night. I fall asleep quick and stay asleep.
Last night I was exhausted and starting to feel sick (in which I have no time for at this moment) so I took some cold medicine to help me sleep and sure enough, it was 9:05 last time I looked at the clock.....I woke up around 12:30 when Roomz was trying to fall asleep and once around 4:00 because it was insanely hot in this room, then not again until 9:45.
Glorious, I tell you, absolutely glorious.
2 1/2 more weeks.
That's it.
Than I can call this whole college life half-way over.
I know, I know, "you're going to miss these days when there gone", but just for today, I'm okay with that.
